Barone® is a Brazilian company, manufacturer of surgical prostheses, specializing in products for Cardiovascular Surgery , General surgery and Peripheral Vascular Surgery.
Barone® health products date back to 1967, when, in a historic partnership with Edwards Laboratories in the USA, Dr. Héctor Barone (in memoriam) began manufacturing the first prosthetic heart valves outside the United States, in Argentina. Then followed a long journey for technological innovation in medicine, with the manufacture of various products, including valves, oxygenators, grafts and meshes.
Initially as a subsidiary, Barone began manufacturing products in Brazil in the 1980s, already incorporating technology developed in the country in its production process.
After a hiatus in the 90s, Barone was refounded in Brazil in the year 2000, continuing the tradition of quality and innovation. It was in Brazil, that the polypropylene hernia mesh, Abdotex® , and the PTFE vascular graft Expand-Graft® were developed.
As a Brazilian company, Barone maintains a commitment to guarantee the quality and innovation of its products.
